French-Texas Toast

If you are looking for a breakfast that is good to make ahead of time and freeze for future meals then French Toast is perfect especially during the school year.  It is also economical cause you can get SEVERAL servings out of just one loaf.  I buy the "Texas Toast" style of bread for this recipe and it can tend to be pricey ($3 plus) but like I said you can get several servings from it.
Sometimes we take for granted that everyone knows how to make simple breakfasts or meals like this but honestly, not everyone does. I was one of them not too long ago.  So don't be embarrassed if you don't know how to make french toast...cause now you do!

Loaf of Texas Toast
4 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Syrup for dipping

Whisk the eggs, milk and vanilla together in a large bowl.  Dip one slice of bread at a time making sure you cover each side.  Using a griddle, brown both sides.  Cut in half and dip into warm syrup.

To freeze, just place the slices in a large Ziploc bag after they cool and throw in the freezer then to eat, microwave for 45 seconds. Voila! Bon Appetite!
